Top 10 PUBG Players in the World - Top PUBG Players in 2022

Creating a top 10 list consisting of the greatest talent in PUBG is never an easy task, but someone has to do it. We decided to compile a list of the best players from the entire professional PUBG scene who show talent, leadership and potential for the future. After the surge in popularity in 2020 and 2021, there's no reason why 2022 shouldn't be as explosive as recent years.

With many faces returning, new contenders emerging and the skill level at an all-time high, we really have a lot to choose from.

Who are the top 10 PUBG players to watch in 2022?

We've compiled a list of the best PUBG players to help you figure out who you should be watching out for in 2022! For the rating, we take into account performance from last year and up to this current point in the year. Since the competition can vary from country to country, we wanted to include talent from different regions. These rankings are subject to change, but for now, these are the top 10 players to watch

1. ZpYan1

We start with one of the most effective game leaders who are actively playing professional PUBG. Zhou "ZpYan1" Pinyan is currently 20 years old and has led his NewHappy-Esports team to great success at the high level. They have won four of the last five tournaments, consisting of four A-class and one S-class competitions. His highest honor came at the 2021 PUBG Global Championship with a 1st place finish. Being young and still performing as a strong IGL, his skill ceiling is as high as anyone in the scene. When all the factors come together and teamed up with his strong teammates, this group and ZpYan1 are definitely one to watch for the rest of 2022 and beyond.

2. TGLTN

Despite not showing up at tournaments in 2022, we can't overlook the skills of James "TGLTN" Giezen, he and his Soniqs team dominated the end of 2021, finishing 1st in five of their last six appearances. This included an incredible performance in winning their PGI in 2021. North America has been dominated by TGLTN and Soniq so far, but with the level of competition increasing, it can continue to repeat their success.

If you want to watch the best while working, definitely go to TGLTN. And yes, Pr0phie died because of it

3. Pio

Cha “Pio” Seung-hoon is the IGL for Gen.G and has been one of the most impressive consistent players over the past two years. He was the driving force behind Gen.G's success in 2021 and is a versatile gunslinger and lurker combined. What sets him apart is his general map awareness and key placement. He allows himself and the rest of the team to set up quickly, allowing his team to have popular fights on all maps.

In addition to winning the 2019 PUBG Global Championship, Pio represented South Korea at the 2019 Nations Cup and was instrumental in Gen.G's late rally at PGI.S 2021.

4. Taikonn

So far we have seen the talents from Europe and Asia, but we cannot overlook the talents of Vietnam. Ha Huu Tai "Taikonn" is only 17 years old and winning titles. Since joining Cerberus Esports in 2019, he has never finished outside the top 5 in a tournament. He added five No. 1 finishes as a major fragger to that amazing record. Being part of a top Vietnamese company will only make it better. With so many developments yet to come, the world is his oyster. Being so young, he could have the potential to perform on a big national, Asian or European stage.

5. GODV

Former LoL midlaner turned PUBG champion Wei "GODV" Zhen is a true PUBG veteran. Active since day one, he is the owner and captain of 4AM and the "Steph Curry of PUBG". As a true throwing god, he provides his team with stability and the know-how to control the big and small corners of the map. He is the most famous PUBG player in China and represented his country in the Nations Cup and played in both PGC and PGI.s 2021.

6. Inonix

On “Inonix” Hee-joo is one of the most reliable players in the PUBG world. He can be seen on countless occasions remaining calm under pressure. Despite finishing 10th in the PUBG Global Championships, Gen.G has consistently placed in the top 3 in domestic competitions. It's mainly thanks to Inonix and his game sense. In their most recent Battlegrounds Smash Cup Season 6 competition, Team MVP won and finished 1st overall, which is a great achievement. After some big performances in the last few months, there is the potential for 2022 to be his most successful year yet.

7. Tea bone

Seasoned British talent Luke "TeaBone" Crafer is certainly at the top in terms of both experience and conversation when it comes to the top 10. He has been on the PUBG scene since 2017 and can bring immense value to his current Heroic squad. They're a wild card entry on this list, but after two consecutive 2nd place finishes, including one at the last PUBG Global Championship, we're excited to see if they can go one step further. The next tournament for TeaBone and Heroic is the PUBG European Continental Series. This will be an incredible opportunity to establish Heroic as a major European threat.

8. Batulins

Sasha "BatulinS" Batulin has previously impressed Virtus Pro and become a staple name for the organization. Despite being on loan with the other members, he can be largely credited for Northern Light's recent success. He led the team to 1st place in G-Loot Season 5 and PSL Spring Showdown 2022. Given how dominant he and his team have been, this exemplary racer is sure to have more success.
